HOW FRIENDSHIPS SHAPE AND DEFINE US
Human beings are universally wired for one thing: a vital connection with one another.
Join us for an online book club that creates a community to reflect on how friendship—specifically with your soul friends—appears to help us toward a fuller understanding of who we are and who we will become.
Hosted by Charlyn Anandamai Reihman, this six-week series will provide an opportunity to engage with Stephen Cope, Kripalu's Scholar Emeritus and best-selling author of The Great Work of Your Life and Yoga and the Quest for the True Self.
Together, we will:
- Explore the six mechanisms of interconnectedness.
- Learn to thrive by making the most of who we are in relation to one another.
- Find our way as we reflect on our own soul friends.
- Gain inspiration from Eleanor Roosevelt, Charles Darwin, Queen Victoria, and more.
This series includes reflections, journaling, and meditations as well as skills for developing a deeper understanding of who we are and who we are becoming. There will be 30-minute discussions between Stephen and Charlyn, breakout sessions, and large group sharing around themes from the reading and conversations.
"Most of us will have many friends throughout our lifetimes—friends of all shapes, sizes, and callings. Many of these are wonderful, meaningful friendships. Some are difficult. But some magic few of these are connections that have gone right to our soul. These five or seven or 10 friendships have been powerful keys to determining who we have become and who we will become. These are the people I call Soul Friends."
